Had a lovely evening with Mike and Julie last night; enjoyed a sunset swim in their horizon pool overlooking the harbour and then had a fabulous meal with them in their hotel. Really enjoyed their company, chatted non stop and I'm sure we'll keep in touch, may even make it to Perth one day. Took bus to Proserpine and back then spent rest of day in Airlie lagoon, savouring the sunshine , blue skies and glorious views over the harbour and islands. Start train journey tonight back to Brisbane (18 hours long!!!).
Hi Nicky & dave, It was so lovely to meet you & like you we felt we still had unfinished talking to do! We really missed your company yesterday & guess what, spent most of the afternoon at Airlie Lagoon looking for you & could not believe we didn't organise to catch up. We can't believe we did not see you there!? It was such a pleasure to meet you & we look forward to staying in touch & who knows we may well meet again, perhaps in beautiful Perth. We are packed up & off to the Gold coast today for a few days, a shock to the system after Airlie we are sure. Mike wants you to know he finally managed to make it all the way to the top of Alpe d'uez to reception without stopping...yipeeeeeeee.I still only managed halfway. Enjoy the rest of your trip, we will keep watching with interest.
