Back in Biddulph
The weather is truly fowl - I've never known so much rain. So much for the long hot summer we were promised! You nearly got an early morning call yesterday, as we had a power cut, and I had no idea how to reboot the servers - but SLT managed to sort me out, so I'll know what to do next time. Wish I was there - it looks like you're having a great time.

Brisbane
Went into Brisbane today, 40 min on the train. Fabulous city-mixture of colonial buildings and very modern. Walked down the Southbanks- site of Expo 1988, took the "Seacat" across the river. Tour bus up to Mount Cootha- fabulous views of city, then on to the Botanical Gardens- lizards, ibis, exotic trees everywhere! Ate out then returned on train. Weather brilliant for British Summer! Goes dark at 6 pm!
Tasmania is going to be cold! Will leave shorts behind!

Crikey
Went to Australia Zoo yesterday, all the keepers were so enthusiastic and everywhere was so clean. Lots of hands on - but that's not me or david stroking the tiger so Emily is still one up! the keepers spend lots of time with the animals. Saw a Tasmanian Devil - want one for a pet they are lovely!
The zoo is close to the Glass House mountains, very impressive.
Off to Brisbane for the day today

Three 7 hour flights and there was Sheila to meet us around 7:30 am in the morning, took us back to Redcliffe.
A cup of tea, some fruit and of for a walk to the coast, quiet and beautiful, the weather is lovely, 20 in the shade.
When to see Auntie Anne and then met Martin after he had finished work.
Sheila got us a meal ready and we tried to stay awake (6:00 pm).
